What types of services do you provide?
Children’s Coalition provides various types of assistance to families in need, including but not limited to—food, diapers, children’s clothing, child care tuition assistance.
We can also help access resources to assist families with rent, utilities, furniture and other larger items.
What child care services are available?
We provide child care tuition assistance, referrals to licensed and registered child care programs.
The CCAC Coastal Bend Child Development Center is now open from 6:30 – 6:00. M-F
We have training programs for teen babysitters through our Kid Care Academy and we connect families with those teens for the occasional date night or special event when a family needs child care.
Is there an application process for these services?
Yes. Families need to come to our office and complete an application form.
For child care tuition assistance, bring the last two pay stubs for every member of the household who is working to verify income in order to see what assistance is available.
What services do you provide for child care providers?
Children’s Coalition custom-designs workshops for child care staff. We will also make site visits, observe in classrooms and provide professional coaching for teachers and directors.
We host an annual conference for early childhood educators.
We provide CDA classes.
How do I apply for my child to attend the Child Development Center?
Stop by the Child Development Center any time, M-F from 6:30 – 6:00 to pick up an application packet and take a tour of the center. Give us a call at 361-900-2151 if you have any questions.
